STIRLING LAKE
Long Hill Township has a public lake in Stirling where you can swim and play on the beach in summer, and ice-skate in winter.

Stirling Lake Park
Chestnut Street, Stirling
908-647-0467

The pristine outdoor setting makes this facility a perfect place for the whole family to spend their summer days.  The facility is staffed by fully certified lifeguards.  Enjoy the summer with swimming, diving, picnics, sun and fun.  Parking, rest rooms and a concession stand are available.

Finding Stirling Lake:  On Central Avenue in Stirling travel 2 blocks north of the railroad, then turn into Chestnut Street OPPOSITE the First Presbyterian Church.

Parking:  There is no parking on Chestnut Street.  Continue up Chestnut Street past the Lake to the next left at High Street.  Follow High Street and watch for an unmarked driveway on your left.  Then turn downhill to the Parking Lot.  You can also enter High Street directly from Central Avenue one block below Long Hill Road.  Then watch for the driveway on your right.

DID YOU KNOW that the west pond is filled by rainwater runoff from the side of Long Hill, but the main lake is filled with water from our own well.  Using well water helps protect swimmers from the risks of surface pollutants.  There is no water flow between the pond and the lake.
